My Folktales

Birds Can Lie To.

Erik the bird and Neil the sparrow were best friends in a large city of New York. One day Erik had invited Neil over to eat diner. Neil rudely said he didn’t want to. This hurt Erik’s feelings so he walked away disappointed. Over night, Erik had thought about how rude Neil was. He soon became enraged with anger.

The next day Neil came over to Erik’s house and asked him if he wanted to go to town to get lunch. Erik had agreed but little did Neil know that he was scheming up a plan. When they got to a garbage can, Erik had hurriedly ran up to it and eaten all of the food in it. Neil’s feelings were hurt and he had questioned Erik why he ate it all. He replied that it was just instinct, he was hungry. Neil didn’t mind it so they went on to the next garbage can. Once again Erik had eaten it all but this time Neil was really mad, he was very hungry.

Neil told Erik they should have a talk; he wanted to know why Erik was acting like that. They started talking about gossip and what not, when Neil questioned Erik’s behavior. Erik reminded Neil of the time when he hurt his feelings over diner. Neil was amazed that Erik took that personally and he apologized to him. After that they went to the next garbage can and Erik shared already full from the last two garbage cans.  The moral of this story is
